Basalt Chopped Fiber

Basalt chopped strand is a product made by chopping continuous basalt fibers. The fibers are coated with a (silane) sizing agent, so basalt chopped strand is the preferred material for reinforcing thermoplastic resins, and it is also an effective material for enhancing the performance of concrete. It can improve the high-temperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance, and fatigue resistance of asphalt concrete.
Basalt chopped strand has the following characteristics:
1) Excellent chemical resistance: Especially with the advantage of being alkali-resistant, it is an excellent material for replacing polypropylene (PP) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) in reinforcing cement concrete, and it is also a highly competitive product for replacing polyester fibers and lignin fibers in asphalt concrete.
2) High strength: The high strength of basalt chopped strand can effectively improve the strength and durability of concrete.
3) Good bonding with asphalt / cement or resin **: Through special surface treatment, basalt chopped strand can be tightly bonded with asphalt / cement or resin, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the composite material.
4) Good high-temperature resistance: The short-term temperature resistance is above 1000 °C, and it can be used in a temperature environment of 760 °C for a long time.
